Would the catalytic converters on the exhaust manifolds be included in the warranty as mine have begun to disintegrate ???

how do you know they are disintegrating? (you will see stuff coming out if they are...)

I have seen several fail and YES it is warranty,

i have had 4 oxygen sensors changed under warranty 2 montha ago on a VRX cause checklight would not stay off as well.

if your cats are gone you will need o2 sensors as well...at least the lower units.

I had a rattling sound under the car , so i investigated, was coming from the exhaust , in front of the main converter, i undone the flange joint there and there were about 4 pieces of ceramic sitting in there so i used a vacum to remove them, then a couple of days later i took it for a run down town and on my way back it started to make a loud hissing noise , and i mean loud, and it got louder and the car got slower and slower until i was in the gutter all the way home doing about 20 ks and this mega loud hissing, like a continuous blowoff valve, so i got home thinking i might have busted the supercharger or something but noticed there was no exhaust sound from the rear cause there is normally a slight burble, anyway i opened the exhaust joint again and she was chockers with what looks like muffler packing and again big bits of ceramic crap, i removed it all and booked it in to be looked at tommorrow, so ill get them to check the oxy censors as well hey?

yep....the ceramic material would have just melted into blobs.

(people on other forums said i was bullshitting, ceramic cats dont melt...yeah right???)

It will all be bunched up just before the center cat..

the o2 sensors will be rooted ...(the two lower ones.)

When mine failed (on the VRX not on the TMR it only has like 7k on it)....I replaced the cats with metal ones...then no more issues.
Mine was running supercharged LPG as well which was getting very, very hot..

Is this the same mod as you suggested in LPG thread - ie TPW extractors and after market cats?

Can't see any ref to them in workshop manual - are they integral to the original headers otr can new inserts be put in ?
