This is probably the first install of a full engine control ECU into this difficult Bosch platform.

It is working with everything, including drive by wire cruise control.

There is some tweaking still needed, for example it is a manual transmission and the clutch sense to cancel cruise isn't working but the brake is.

I am having a good deal of fun with the live tune and modifying active fuel cells on the road.

A word of warning, don't even think of starting the car without the attached tune config and without a MUTIII dealer diagnostic unit.

You will not be able to reset learned knock, spark and fuel trim values...disconnecting the battery does nothing to those parameters.

It could get expensive getting towed to a dealer every time.

But this tune config will work first time if you wire it up correctly.

Even Throttle position mis calibration causes a limp (max 2000 rpm and 3rd gear in an auto)

Anyway...here are the secret screens..for those brave enough to go here...

The map cells are for a manual 380, it took many dyno runs to perfect the tune...it pulls...hard!!

In the interests of completeness here is the Link tuning software...

The config file is a file that you just load into the G4 ECU and it has all the parameters in the above screens and the i/o allocations...

(basically all the hard work)

You can play with it in offline mode (no car or ecu connected)

Because I want to promote the 380 platform, I am posting this config in the community for all to download (which by the way cost me around two thousand bucks to produce)

Feel free to have a play and give to anyone who may find it of use with my blessing...it is a professional final tune by a Link ECU dealer.

simply install the above program on a pc with Xp/win7 etc and load the file.

Here is a log of the ecu after fitting a supercharger to the manual VRX.

Afr's after 3000 rpm were too lean so the run was contained...

Ahh just found this thread..

Great work. I'm currently in Bangkok, but I can't wait to gut your tune file to work out the drive by wire for my conversion into a magna.

I think you'll find the stock 380 ECU is still doing the drive by wire, it has just been kept happy somehow.

This is the mule 380VRX that is the test pilot so to speak...and using the Storm instead of the Extreme.

It uses group fire for the injectors instead of sequential etc etc....(all injectors fire at once)

It was just a "get it running as proof of concept".

If you wait a month or so I'll post up the 380GT that is being done at the moment with the Extreme and sequential injection, auto trans and twin Turbos.

The GT is the one to take note of...or thats the theory anyways...

Some time ago someone asked if there was anything extra needed to get the Link Extreme G4 ECU working with the 380.

I mentioned that there was an additional CAM sensor fitted on the front bank cam, just behind the belt sprocket.

Yesterday i replaced my belt and tensioner etc so took this picture.

Don't know which brand of sensor it is...
