Am forging another 6G75 to put in my 380VRX.....

This is a project that another fellow wasn't able to complete.

It has Wiseco forged pistons, bored out from 3.8 to 3.9L, has ground cams, adjustable cam sprockets, nitride treated crankshaft, harder valve springs etc.

paid $6100 all up, (engine and builders invoice)

Gotta be happy with the price.

Only downside is it was fitted with 6G74 parts as it was intended for a Magna.

About an hour's work to undue all that, though I got a distributor and mods as part of the deal.

Three bloody lifters ticking away drove me insane so pulled out #1 and fitted this number #2 today.
Forged #1 will be coming back with all new lifters and stiffer valve springs.

In the mean time I'll see how these cams with the revised profile go.

it might be a bag of crap...but then again it might be a bit special....

Well started her up tonight and she's not bad, definitely lumpier on idle...but she's got a good bit of get up and boogie down low.

Will run her normally aspirated for a tankfull of premium then fit the blower back on.

It's all pretty sweet.....and no lifter noise...LOL
