You own around 20 380s and your taking the c250...

Btw, would be keen to read a review on the c250, what year is it (thinking the new a250 may be worth a look).

They are a nice car...

it's a brand new one, my missus' car, diesel...150kw 500nm and uses 5l/100km the voice control works perfectly.

has all the AMG options etc.

but...it's too small for me, perfect for the missus.
the seats are hard on your arse after 500k's and you need to get out for a spell to recover.

the 7 speaker harmon kardon sound is awesome, the car reeks of luxury...but its a chicks car in size terms

i already posted pics of it in the non mitsubishi car section on this forum...

Well back on topic, the 380Gt turbo has a few problems.

-the exhaust is way too loud, gotta get that re fabricated with more hotdogs or whatever.
-the boost is way too high, 16 psi in a 3.9L motor is deadly, I floored it at 100km/h and both front wheels just started spinning...it was scarey....admittedly it had rained, but I have new tyres and LSD.
-The auto transmission is fried from 100 or so dyno runs, it slips in 4th and 5th error codes P1782 and P1783 mitsubishi specific....I expected it and it is getting swapped out next week.....someone had to do the first sacrificial dyno tunes....
-the blow off valve is still too noisy, need to bury it in the air intake box even further...or drive slower.

But it goes harder than anyone imagined...real seat shitting stuff when boost comes on.

Some sites list
P1782 as:
- Low transmission fluid level, or
- Dirty transmission fluid, or
- Faulty 2/4-OD Pressure Switch, or
- 2/4-OD Pressure switch poor electrical connection, or
- 2/4-OD Pressure switch circuit is open or shorted

P1783 as:
- Transmission temperature sensor harness is open or shorted, or
- Transmission temperature sensor circuit poor electrical connection, or
- Faulty transmission temperature sensor

thanks for that S311, but the codes are manufacturer specific.

My MUT3 actually runs the check, spits out the codes and gives the verbal description as well..."gear 4 and 5 failed to complete shift cycle."

means the clutches slipped and the input and output shafts had a count mismatch.

with the MUT3 you can actually see the live sensor data in drive along mode....

the mismatch count gets to a threshhold and...bang...limp mode and stuck in 3rd gear.

It was interesting that the generic code description could throw one completely off track.

the tuners actually put another cooler on thinking it was over temp....LOL
