The auto transmission needed the following work to be able to handle the torque (710nm at the wheels)

-replace wave spring with higher tensile one
-jam twice as many friction plates into gears 4 and 5...this required custom thinner steel seperator rings between clutch plates
-modified solenoid valve kit

solenoids modified by MV Automatics in Adelaide
auto trans modified and installed by paul Adams motors in Nth geelong

mission accomplished....time to enjoy it!

No photos...it wouldn't have been of any use...

there was stuff everywhere when it was pulled apart...very complex transmission.

gear shifts are more noticeable, but it feels strong.

I'll be happy after about 5 tankloads of fuel.

By the way it gets way better fuel economy than the supercharger when driven at 100km/h cruising...(520k to a tank Vs 420k)
Not that fuel economy really matters....

Here is a video of the test drive we did over the weekend on a private road..

Gave it half throttle, didn't even kick it down, just torque converter unlocked.

Gotta be careful planting the foot, wheels spin even at 160 with this beast.

anyway it sounds and feels strong now....did a thousand k's so far and looking promising...will wait and see...if it gets to 5 tankfulls I'll be happy.

here's a sample of responsible driving, keeping a safe distance and no wheelspin..

record more videos 0-100,0-200 km / h, impressive is the transmission of the bears that moment on wheels, controls the temperature of the transmission oil? is some extra cooling?

after reading your project, looking at the car for yourself
