Frequent flyer Gold Posts: 1092 Location: An island off southern Tasmania. | The con rods are 35 grams lighter than the stock rods. The piston is 5 grams lighter or almost identical in weight to the stock pistons, overall the rotating mass is slightly lighter. The engine is noisier than stock when absolutely cold.

Frequent flyer Silver Posts: 62 | Forged pistons need different clearances, they tend to be a little noisier till they warm up and expand.

Sounds like a bad bearing till shw warms up, as a precaution I always take it easy when cold anyway out of respect for technology and my wallet....LOL
