What's the new power and torque measurements?

270kw @ 710nM maximum.

But I am having the boost turned down to about 250kw...its stupid spinning wheels at 100km/h and dangerous.

(bear in mind this is at the wheels...and it's as much as a stock HSV with 300+ kw at the flywheel.)

How do you think it would go against an HSV?
It looks like the AWD project might need to come sooner. Mind you it would mean re-routing the exhaust system from out of the transmission tunnel as they would get in the way of the tailshaft.

Lots of money spent on dyno time to get the initial tune.

The Link G4 extreme configuration file is attached.

The car will start and run....with just a custom AFR tune most likely.

The factory MAF sensor is ignored as are all the oxygen sensors apart from the wide band unit.

There is a custom cam position sensor on the front bank sprocket, as well as the Link G4 knock sensor mounted onto the inlet manifold behind the throttle body.

Driving along the other day just coasting along and the transmission shift selector display starts flashing...uhhh...oh...limp mode in 3rd gear.

yep...all that torque and 100 million dyno runs took its toll on the auto trans.
The OBD codes are complaining about 4th and 5th gear not completing their shift pattern.

Luckily I have a spare from a wreck, was going to do it myself but decided to get some advice on beefing it up and a bloke in geelong called Paul Adams has a few ideas.. so off we go there Monday to get him to fit a few mods and do his magic.
He was the guy who did all the work getting the Quaife LSD working for myself and Foozrcool a while back.

It's only money, but a lot of fun so far....

The auto was pulled out today, will report on what happened to the old one in a few days.

They are talking about modifying a hydraulic line and adding an adjustment point to make the oil pressure to the clutches adjustable or some such....

By the way it also spins the wheels at 130km/h in the dry.....did it by accident....in limp mode...LOL

Torque converter was absolutely cooked, was a blueish colour.

The journey continues on friday.

Got the car back....replacement transmission, upped oil pressure (producing slightly harder upshifts), welded planetery gear pins etc.

It feels stronger than before....like a huge beast on heat and on a leash.

No more slippage, the torque converter was absolutely screwed as were the 3,4,and 5th gear clutches....TC metalwork had turned a dark blue.

The under bonnet temps are now a lot lower as well, she must have been slipping like a nun trying to wrench open a jar of vaseline...

Anyway...very impressed so far, gotta go on a 300km round trip to pickup my youngest from the airport tonight so will see how she goes.

Insane amount of power....never thought I would say that....
