No gremlins so far? Rob...the tune is perfect, she uses fuel at the rate of 22litres for 185km travelled on my test drive tonight. That's 11.9L/100km not bad really. I belted it through the great ocean road for a few hours to make sure it would hold up. Can't fault it, the learning transmission ecu shits me though, it changes into 5th way too early when you disconnect the battery, so took about half an hour to settle down. But Rob, this thing is scarey when boost is fully on...imagine the blower with almost 50% more at the wheels. Am seriously thinking of dropping the boost a couple of psi. With the extra clutches it runs so much cooler, previously when I lifted the bonnet you could hear all sorts of liquids swirling around and contractions of metal etc. Now it's just better behaved and feels strong. I have a lot of tweaking to do with pipes rubbing, original heat shield in the exhaust tunnel rattles a bit, you know...the 380 is so well built and tight that you hear anything thats a little bit out... I reckon I am nearly done and complete with this, and i gotta say, the blower is good but not insane like these turbos. If i was doing it again I would use smaller turbos...it's just too much...can easily kill oneself or lose licence. | ||

Might have to put the auto mods on the list of things to do also. Still looking at coming down but will be after June now coz things have got way to busy with the eofy looming. Do you think my tuner could attack the Link install ok with all the extra bits & pieces or maybe get it done in Melbourne? | ||

The hardest bit is the initial config to get the engine started and the sensor stuff...I have all that. You would be better off getting the Link dealer in QLD to do the install.. don't forget they had my car for 4 months here in Melb...the VRX they had for 11 months!!! If you are coming to Melb anyway and can get down for the 6th/7th July Neil Byers will be racing his 380 at Calder park and am meeting up with him...should be a great day... Rob....just get one turbo...not two like me...mine is sooooo much of an overkill with two.....one of the mistakes I made....money wasted really cause the turbos are working at about 40%...and less plumbing too... Wait a few weeks till I see if this auto trans is going to hold up.....it's early days yet...and do 9:1 compression not 8.5:1 like I did.....you don't need 1100hp...LOL | ||

They consist of kevlar friction plates, double sided and custom fabricated stainless rings. This is to extend the life of the auto transmission, particularly 4th gear, with 700+ Nm of torque...at the wheels... ![]() | ||

Yep...first box took 125klms to fry....2nd took 500klms to fry...3rd took 2000 klm to fry (my brother booted it at 150km/h and spun the wheels...LOL) This time the valve solenoid regulator assembly will be modified by Willall racing as well...stay tuned in 3 weeks time...waiting waiting waiting...vaitinck I really like 16psi boost..will try everything to not have to drop the boost...LOL Should be good for you others...I'll just write up a shopping list when it's sorted... ![]() | ||
