Transmission replaced again 3rd tranny now ![]() The original was reworked and put back in the car. The work that was done this time:- -extra clutches fitted in 3rd, fourth and fifth gears (3,2,2 extra) -line pressure control bypassed to continually increase by 10% -new torque converter fitted (both my second hand ones were dodgey) -piston enlarged for fourth gear clutches Fourth gear clutches were absolutely fried in both, considering that both only lasted an hour of normal driving I am hoping we have nailed this. If it doesn't stand up to 720nM of torque I will be either dropping the boost from 16psi to say 14 psi or...fitting a manual box with LSD. Shit it's powerful driving it home though.... ![]() Fingers crossed..... ![]() | ||
