The stock satnav doesn't allow you to enter a location until you are stopped dead.

That's fine as a safety feature...but my passenger should be able to do it....I don't need to be nannied.

Simply ground the pictured wire and the satnav will allow all features including DVD playing at all times.

It is the handbrake signal which is normally unused on a 380.

I picked one of these units up from our local car audio store back in 08 (i think). it has been living in my wife's outlander until now. I installed it in my 380 over the weekend. just missing the speed pulse.

that loom you are focusing on should have reverse, handbrake (grounded of course ) and the speed pulse. on my unit the speed pulse is the purple wire. I dont suppose you know where it leads to on yours? Or maybe where I could tap into the pulse somewhere else?

I will have a look on the weekend for you and take a photo.

though i am pretty sure it uses the GPS for speed.

BTW I got one from Hobart car sound in 2010 as well...it was the only place that still had one in stock...1000 bucks.

Oh...I also have the latest map dvd....

I think i paid 1400 in '08 with the iPod unit. I got mine from what was Car Accessory Installs in Launceston. I've been looking for the latest DVD, but be buggered if i'm paying $250 for it!
