For anyone interested, TMR in Melbourne have been in in talks with sprintex about releasing a batch of s5 superchargers for the 380. Apparently they require about 20 orders minimum to make it a goer and keep the price at around 5k supply only,6k installed. So far they have about 11 expressions of interest from 380 owners. Not sure if it will be financially viable if they can't get around 20 orders, if they do will probably cost 5k+ per unit supply only. If interested let Jon or Allan know at TMR.

I already have two units...so I am right for now, else i would be jumping in.... Call Sprintex direct aka ATD group in Perth, have a chat to Mark Ambrosis...tell him you want ten units...he will surely want the business if TMR do not. his email is SPRINTEX SUPERCHARGERS Automotive Technology Group Limited P: +61 8 9262 7277 M: 0426 257 621 F: +61 8 9262 7288 P: PO Box 3348, Malaga WA 6945 E: marka@ATGgroup.com.au Web: www.sprintex.com.au he has always helped me out even with custom pulleys and unlocking the ECU's

Yeah thanks, first call was to Sprintex, they said they had none but to call TMR, from TMR they said they require an order of about 20 units to proceed with a batch. Will ring Mark Ambrosis direct as you suggested.

It's early days yet. the 380's are still around the 10-15k mark. Once they get to the magic 7-8k mark and all the youngish guys can afford them , then you will see a fair bit of interest. I was saying three years ago that they would be replacing the Magnas as a great cheap to run daily... The next 12 months should be the turning point me thinks...just wait and watch.... At least i have given them something to aim for...LSD,brakes,forged engine. Although I doubt many young guys have the same tax deduction capability as I have...or are as stupid as me to pursue a dead product. Oh well..... ![]() The hardest component to acquire is the intake plenum casting for the Sprintex kit. Have a guess who has a spare on the shelf?...brand new of course....people laughed when i bought it....$300 from Sprintex. I bought it to replicate it if necessary in the future. A guy in Geelong says he can make them no probs. I want an intercooler coil from laminova if i was to fabricate a run....hmmm...might chat to Sprintex....

Me thinks I need to download a copy of the manuals quick smart. I'm not sure what language you guys are speaking, but gee I'm impressed. lol. Whats a plenum casting?. Need for bigger brakes I understand, but what are the advantages of having a LSD and your engine forged. ![]()

Frequent flyer Silver Posts: 62 ![]() ![]() ![]() | The plenum is what the air gathers in before it goes to the valves. In supercharged installations where the supercharger sits on top of the motor a custom plenum is used so the supercharger simply bolts to it. So as an example if you had a V8, a special custom plenum or manifold is made that is open with the bolt pattern of the supercharger on it so it bolts straight onto it. As examples....
