Should a new (tight) short motor use more fuel until it loosens up or runs in ????

nope...all mine use the same..
.about 550 to a tank if normal auto
about 480 in the TMR at highway speeds 400 if driven hard
manual with supercharger 500 and she stops...LOL
twin turbo uses 530 km to a tankful on highway...less than 400 if driven hard
