Decided to pull him out cause have bought a spare to rotate off the shelf.

Sprintex said it may be the sacrificial plastic coupler in the pulley neck gear, but not to be, think she may have spun a bearing near the throttle body.

Anyway, some pics to show the guts of it.

If ever doing this and you have extractors, get yourself a 12mm rachet ring spanner.

One nut is accessible on the plenum support bracket just behind the blower pulley.
The other i found easiest to reach from underneath the car with a triple socket extension...but i have the luxury of a hoist.

There are two 12mm bolts that fasten the blower neck to the idler pulley support bar.

Needs a loooooong socket extension from underneath the car, once again easy if you have a hoist, absolute testicle breaker if you don't.

Apart from that pretty straight forward removal, even with LPG as mine has.

Took about an hour and a half, next time much less.

Nowhere near the 8 hours some people quote to do the job....

In the photos I have the stock plenum that is my shelf spare for comparison.

Note the the LPG injector nozzles drilled and tapped into the plenum that's because mine is supercharged LPG and or petrol also the six LPG injector rail on top of the engine.

Believe it or not all those photos are of a perfect supercharger mechanism,

and the damn thing isn't making a noise since I took the neck off and reassembled it.

Performance is still first class...just a rattling sound was coming out of it....

Running the car normally aspirated...shit it feels slooooow.

I forgot what a stock 380 feels like...and this one with LPG and a lower compression ratio is...very economical on fuel now.... :0

The spare blower still hasn't arrived...damn it.

I'm getting the spare blower for $1800 from spribntex, so can't really complain....
