      Location: An island off southern Tasmania. | You can get it off with a simple Allen key if you don't have the pulley tool.
make sure that the Allen key is long enought to sit in about the 3 oclock position else it will slip.
be gentle, dont jar it else you will break something.
If need ne then get a long pipe on the ring spanner.
Don't bash it.
worked a number of times for me.
can also be used to tighten it back up.
Use the thickest allen key that you can get to fit.
