| Hi,
I just bought and picked up a 380 yesterday and drove it 500 miles back home, i love it and what a waste it isn't being built any more.
Just a couple of things i need to know if anyone can help me please.
First: When i lock my doors to walk away it sounds the horn once which keeps scaring the crap out of old people lol and is embarrassing.
If anyone knows how i can make it silent i would be very grateful.
and Second: the car didn't come with an Owners Manual, does anyone know where i can get a pdf or any other kind of copy of this book please?
I look forward to many years of happy motoring with this car and friendships with other 380 owners
Cheers Howard |

Location: An island off southern Tasmania. | Welcome to the forum Howard.
The horn confirmation is a menu setting on the center display.
Stop the car and the available options will increase.
hold the menu button and you will see a variety of useful options, like unlock all dorrs on one click etc.
BUT...if you have a base model you will need to fit a center display..( base models had a clock instead)
As for the manual...it is a project of mine to scan it, wait a while and it will be in the download area...accessible after you have contributed around 50 posts here on the forum.
If we knew which model you have we could assist in more detail.

| Hi John, nice to meet you, it doesn't have the MDF, only a clock like you said, but it has everything else so i guess it isnt a base model unless the base model had heaps of stuff.
It is a shame about the 50 post thingy hmmm maybe i should go mad and post everywhere hehe
I went to Mitsubishi but they didn't know either lol

Will disconnecting the battery for 10 ?? mins reset all those options to default - maybe that will silence the horn without too much angst
They do have fantastic horns - work well on errant SYD pedestrians and taxi drivers
Howard - where are U |

Location: An island off southern Tasmania. | Howard ...you still might be able to connect the center display...a lot of models have the plug fitted ad the display is about 50 bucks at a wrecker.
Just pull the plastic cowl where the clock is and it pulls forward and all will be revealed.
powering off might do it...bit it didnt on mine. |

Howard...is yours an SX, ES,Platinum, VRX, GT or GTL?
might save you some money to do what i said about pulling the plastic cowl that is above the clock........
You might have the wiring loom that doesnt have a connection for the display....in which case you would be up shit creek.... |

| Hi John,
It doesn't have anything at all on the car to show what model it is. It has many up specs like reverse sensors, electric sunroof, auto, cruise, climate control, power windows, electric seats etc
but there is no model type on the car.
It only has the clock on the dash though and not the computer.
I wish i could tell you, i just went outside and looked everywhere
I will go look at the plastic thing above the clock, hope i don't damage it lol does it just pop off? |

6MMDB4????????????????
The digit after the "4" denotes the sub model.
the plastic thingey just pops off by pulling...firmly horizontally

are you absolutely sure? you need to remove the clock to check properly?
By the way the "D" is base model....may not have the connector for the display....same as the "380 platinum" |

Location: An island off southern Tasmania. | Very unusual configuration, you have all the maximum options yet no TCL.
Would have cost a small fortune to dealer fit all those options.
You have everything the GT has...just no traction control....
By the way my stereo is the factory sat nav unit the Eclipse AVN6000 |

| I was thinking the same John, i didn't mention ALL of the options either, i know the car came from Sydney because i found the last owner's business cards under the spare tyre, it has done 75k and is like brand new.
I feel proud when i drive it
