takes a while first time...but easy enough.
-take off plastic timing covers, plastic side covers, a bit of the wheel arch plastic shroud clips etc
-turn engine till the crank is at top dead center and both cam sprockets align with the knotch.
-loosen off power steering belt
-loosen off main drive belt by nut under alternator
-get a tool to loosen harmonic balancer pulley (the big one) I use an allen key that jams up against the chassis rail and in the pulley dowel slot
-make sure all is at top dead center.
-loosen off tensioner
-put tensioner in vice and slowly recompress and fit pin in hole
-fit new belt
-reassemble with all 3 notch marks lining up. (crank, two camshaft notches on rocker cover)

I recently had mine changed. They had to remove the engine to work on it. It was an opportunity to also change the spark plugs as well. It cost a lot as a result.

what... you mean they had to remove the engine to change the timing belt????
that seems a bit extreme...if you mean the drivers side engine mount then thats okay....otherwise it's a bit much?
