| Basically converted to a VRX complete with leather seats. Bought at 68,000 kms in 2010, its now on 87,000 kms.
Recently got some 20 inch wheels and tyres. Lowering it this week. Also hoping to get some bigger brakes at some point.
Check out how close I parked to the car infront of me. No front sensors, all skill

Cheers John.
My current rotors are very rusty and I need new pads.
Looking to fill the wheels with some nice brakes (maybe K-Sports).

hey mate. I searched for that part for about a year
there was no way I was going to pay Mitsubishi the $590+ asking price for that piece of plastic. they can get stuffed!!
after much searching I randomly found it for $90 on gumtree from some bloke in WA. had it shipped over to VIC pronto... |

thanks shiloh. I never thought about removing mudflaps, not a bad idea. I don't drive in dirty areas anyway i guess...
Unfortunately when i removed the badge it came off in two pieces (3 and 80). I guess being on there for 7 years wore it down a bit.
i was surprised considering how careful I was taking it off

Anyone tried installing a chromatic mirror into their 380? I have an SX so was looking to get one installed...
I understand there's a chance you can crack your windscreen during installation. Anyone got any experience in this area? |

Mine seems to work ok?
Do you find it useful Fooz? I.e. when you get that initial annoying glare in the rear view when cars have high beams or badly adjusted lights, does the mirror adjust promptly?
Might get one installed but there's a risk of cracking windscreen during Installation so I have to weigh it up.
Thanks |

Vicroads charge obscene amounts.

| Just a quick update. Installed a reverse camera rear-view mirror (has very strong clips to clip onto the existing rear-view mirror). $50 delivered straight from China.
First impressions are very good. Works exactly as needed (improves rear-view vision greatly over the already cramped vision of the 380).
Wide 120ish angle and the image is more than clear enough in day-time and night.
Simple and easy. Turns on when the car is in reverse gear, turns off otherwise and drains no power. The "mirror" functionality is slightly darker than a normal mirror
but works perfectly fine. Its actually even better than my stock mirror (non chromatic mirror) as the darker nature of it reduces glare from headlights at night. Perfect! (for me).
It has 7 IRs built into the camera to provide solid night vision. Camera is also anti-fog and waterproof (at least that's what it says on the packaging... time will tell. Its holding up fine after a few car washes).
Excuse the night picture below, it looks washed out due to camera flash and the contrast is much better in real life (the picture was taken at night with no lighting other than the camera's IR lights on).
I could have got a CCD camera vs only a CMOS, but honestly I don't need some HD camera to make out objects as they are already clear enough. Finer details would be a luxury and certainly not a need for its purpose.

| This last image above looks terrible because of the way in which the camera I used captures the image on the LCD screen.
Unfortunately its the best I could do. There is no white glare surrounding the screen image in real life and you can make out the details much better (i.e. the tree and car) than the way it appears in the photo.
This is an unfortunate effect of taking photos of LCD screens |

| Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone on the forums has direct experience with the IMPCO-BRC Sequent 56 LPG system?
I'm looking at possibly getting this installed on my 380 (pending compatibility).
Would there be noticeable performance loss while using LPG? Or is it smart enough to combat any performance loss by switching to petrol at higher revs etc?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks |

Location: An island off southern Tasmania. | I know everything about it, I even have the software and tune up kit for it.
It is fantastic...just get it...it works brilliantly in a 380.
I even had it supercharged in my GT a few years back.
Have a look at the head on your motor...just near the top of the oil dipstick.
If there are 3 holes...1 then two close together then your head is LPG compatible.
If not doesn't matter. |

it will bring a big smile on your face...especially when you fill up.
BUT...it will NOT start if you run out of petrol, it protects the valves etc by always starting on petrol until engine warms up.
also...if you boot the accelerator it will switch back to petrol for maximum horsepower.
they thought of everything. |

If they won't just take it to Impco direct....in fact just take it to impco and get a better job done...I did |

unless you're getting the kit really cheap I think it's not worth it.....
that's 20 tankfulls a year.
savings are 30-40 percent.
that's 750 dollars a year saved, but interest on the 4k for the kit is 200 dollars a year.
so will take 8-9 years to pay off.........nah...... |

I can get the kit (used) for $650. How much would installation cost?
I dont want to lose any power though, thats my main concern. |

Thanks for the info John, greatly appreciated.
Still deciding whether its worth getting the LPG as I only do about 8,000-10,000kms a year!
unless you're getting the kit really cheap I think it's not worth it.....
that's 20 tankfulls a year.
savings are 30-40 percent.
that's 750 dollars a year saved, but interest on the 4k for the kit is 200 dollars a year.
so will take 8-9 years to pay off.........nah......
I can get the kit (used ) for $650. How much would installation cost?
I dont want to lose any power though, thats my main concern.
Impco will install for $1250 you wont lose power.
You'll just save money. |

Are you 100% certain there is absolutely no power loss?
I've done 95,000kms, would the LPG system put unnecessary strain/wear and tear on an already aging car?
I'm considering LPG as a long term solution.

| Just an update.
I had my entire car Opti-Coated today. It was not cheap at $595 (not including cost for prepping paintwork i.e. washing/claying/2 stages of machine polishing/correction).
Comes with a 5 year warranty for a used car.

| Just had my yearly inspection for the OptiCoat Pro and ended up getting a layer of OptiCoat Pro+ added to it. Immediately there was a much more gloss and depth to the original application, a big improvement over the previous year's application. Its good to see the guys at OptiCoat continually improving their product. It was very cheap and easy to add the Pro+ due to the Pro layer still being in tact and untarnished!

Cheers John. I had it done here:
https://www.facebook.com/obsessiondetailing
David who owns the company is the most passionate, hard-working car detailing expert I have come across in Melbourne.
He works from his house and has his own garage, he truly knows his stuff and charges very reasonable prices.
To get the Opti-coat done last year was about $595 (not including prep work, which varies depending on the current state of your car's paintwork). This year to get the Opti-coat Pro+ applied was about $150.
Due to the Opti-coat being applied last year, there was much less work involved this time around with the Pro+
The best part about Opti-coat is how easy it is to maintain while making the car's paint look like it just came off a showroom floor. Water flies off the car amazingly well and when you spray it with water, anything stuck to the paint flies off incredibly easy too. It basically repels anything that goes near the paint, its an investment that every car owner should make in my opinion
