Initially I wanted to install the compressor on the party of the belt. However, as you can see in the photo, there is very little space. Cannot be set. I decided to do the same circuit as RIPP

As you can see on the photo above, the compressor is installed instead of the box air filter. The drive from the belt with the help of the shaft. I realized, this is the optimal solution.

The next step. Connecting shaft to a belt. The shaft is located above the alternator. Therefore, it is necessary to make and install an additional parasitic pulley. Had to make a bolt alternator. At the same bolt is the pulley. Of course bought a belt of the increased length. Here's how it looks.

Then I started to do the valve cover. In the engine 4G69 MIVEC no hydraulic compensators valve clearance. So, when I removed the valve cover I increased the clearance in the valve at the 0.05 mm

The first start. The black lines on the pavement. Acceleration 0-60 mph 5,8 seconds. What i have power? Power i designed before the installation of the compressor. An increase can be considered by the formula: Р(ек)=Р(ка) : Р(0)) , where P(ek) - increase capacity, P(e) - original power, P(ka) - boost pressure, P (0) - atmospheric pressure. So 4G69 - 160 hp. Boost pressure - 10,15 PSI. Atmospheric pressure - 14,5 PSI. Enter values in the formula. 160 x (10.15 : 14.5) = 112 Such an increase will boost 10,15 PSI. This will give if there is no loss on the belt drive, for example turbo. Therefore enter loss coefficient K(lf). He is 10 - 11%. 160 + 112 -10% = 244.8 hp

However, my happiness did not last long. At maximum load, is the destruction of small belt compressor. I called the manufacturer of the compressor. I complained about the quality and warranty. But I did not want to listen to. Said that, I blame myself. It lasted 3 months. Then I said that you guys have made a competitor. In November 2010, I sold my car. And bought a new 9G. My new project I started from scratch. But you can read about it in part 2. That's all of it, comment...
