Location: An island off southern Tasmania. | The strut brace TMR supplied me with the supercharger kit is right above the blower with only about 15mm of clearance.
On hard take offs the blower would of course rise and bang on the strut brace, took a while to find that, the symptoms sounded like a loose front end.
It also blocked the air flow to my new bonnet ducts.
You gotta love living near geelong, so many places that fabricate stuff.
My local tractor repair guy knocked this strut brace up to clear the blower and everything else.
Yes...IT IS SOLID STEEL.....
$200 parts and labour.
Just gotta spray it black and away we go...LOL

How strong did you need it to be? 
I would have suggested putting torque straps to the engine to stop it moving.
Simple sections of steel straps, one side bolted to something solid (either body or engine) and the other side with a elongated hole with its bolt locked to the other side but loose enough to slide through the elongated hole.
It allows engine flex to a limit before bottoming out in the hole and becoming solidly locked. |

yeah solid steel...the guy who built it is used to building stuff in half inch thick steel...I shoulda known after he fixed the towbar on the John Deere tractor...LOL.
But a bit of black paint and a shape up and it just might look the goods and actually work as well
But yeah...the blower wont hit the brace anymore thats for sure....I dont mind a bit of engine movement, its a daily driver and my back knows about it if things are too stiff in the ride and vibration department. |

you will see some slight alloy discolouration on the blower if it is...
put some powder or something on the blower or undo the strut brace amnd you'll soon see if the paint is scuffed... |
