Location: An island off southern Tasmania. | Today I fitted a dual exhaust system to my 380GT.
I supplied all parts to the exhaust shop.
Parts used were...a second hand 380VRX oval tipped rear muffler and two rubber mounts and heat shield....all sourced from a wreck.
It took 3 hours to fabricate/bend the pipe work and to weld up the "Y" section at the rear as well as cutout the bumper infill section.
grand total cost.....$300 !
Exactly the same as the TMR kit...stock muffler and stock heat shield....and Thanks to TMR getting ADR compliance it is legal.
see attached photos....

| Looks good.
The main single feed pipe running under the car...
Your extractors, what is the output diameter?
Is the single running under the car big enough to handle the volume of the 2 headers?
Normally i see twin 2 1/4"to 2 1/2" headers into a single 3" back to twin 2 1/2".
Also investigate if the mufflers are straight through items, most but not all designs have baffles inside which clogs up the system.
Also forgot to mention, if your running headers make sure you use a metal substrate high flow cat, the normally used ceramic ones quickly crumble from the extra heat from a header conversion.
BTW nice twin outlets. |

| Does the cost you quoted include the rear bumper bar insert, the GT has a single outlet or did you modify the existing insert. |

| Same as they do on the BA-BF Fords when fitting Quad outlets, they just make a cardboard template of the one they have and flip it over to mirror it onto the left side and airsaw away. |
